Winning: Independent voters say they’d pick Charlie Sheen over Sarah Palin | The Raw Story

Oh, well….

I guess it really is the beginning of the end for the Devine Sarah…

Charlie Sheen is winning, and he literally didn’t even try.

A recent poll found that the more independent voters would vote for the disgraced actor in a presidential matchup against Fox News employee Sarah Palin.

While two-thirds of those asked in the PPP survey (.pdf) viewed Sheen unfavorably, independents apparently like Palin even less.

Among independent voters, 41 percent would cast their ballot for Sheen. Only 36 percent would select Palin in the hypothetical matchup.

“We’ve found a lot of brutal poll numbers for Sarah Palin so far in 2011: down in South Dakota, down in South Carolina, down in Arizona, only up by 1 point in Texas, only up by 1 point in Nebraska to name a few,” PPP’s Tom Jenson wrote. “But this has to be the worst.”

Post-ABC poll shows Sarah Palin losing more ground among Republicans – The Washington Post

Damn…

I can’t tell you how much I want her to run for President and be the GOP nominee…

It would assure President Obama’s re-election and might let the Dems retake the House…

And it would destroy the Republican Party for the foreseeable future…

And be entertaining as hell…

But I knew her shelf life was limited.  Even the rabid GOP Tea Partiers can only take so much of her….

But there is hope she will recover- or Michelle Bachmann will succeed her in the Crazy, Intellectually Challenged GOP Female Candidate Slot…

Sarah Palin’s ratings within the Republican Party are slumping, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll, a potentially troubling sign for the former Alaska governor as she weighs whether to enter the 2012 presidential race.

For the first time in Post-ABC News polling, fewer than six in 10 Republicans and GOP-leaning independents see Palin in a favorable light, down from a stratospheric 88 percent in the days after the 2008 Republican National Convention and 70 percent as recently as October.

In one sense, the poll still finds Palin near the top of a list of eight potential contenders for the GOP nomination. The former vice presidential candidate scores a 58 percent favorable rating, close to the 61 percent for former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee and 60 percent for former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, and better than the 55 percent that onetime House speaker Newt Gingrich (Ga.) received.

But Palin’s unfavorable numbers are significantly higher than they are for any of these possible competitors. Fully 37 percent of all Republicans and GOP-leaning independents now hold a negative view of her, a new high.

The Primary Process Might Help Sarah Palin – TheHill.com

Run, Sarah, Run!

It would be a dream come true for Sarah Palin to be the GOP nominee.

By any poll numbers out there, she is not electable.

This would be the best thing that could happen for President Obama’s re-election campaign.

From former New Hampshire Republican Senator Judd Gregg in “The Hill”:

Because the nominating process has become so dominated by primary elections, with the vast majority of the delegates chosen by direct vote, it is entirely possible that with no presumptive winner or even favorites, a candidate who runs second or third in a great many primaries could go into the convention with a sizable block of delegates.

Who would this favor? Does Sarah Palin come to mind? Although she is not viewed by most as strong enough to win, she is viewed by many as a person worth voting for to make a statement. And primaries tend to be populated by people who go to the polls with the purpose of making a statement.

Finishing second and third isn’t really a big deal — until you get enough delegates to be the nominee. And picking a nominee who it seems would be easily defeated by President Obama might not be the best statement.

Sarah Palin: “Grit My Teeth” Over HBO Film – Washington DC RNC | Examiner.com

This should be fun…

I just don’t know if someone as smart as Julianne Moore can play someone as dumb as Sarah Palin.

This will truly be a test of how great an actress she really is….

RNC DC Examiner reported earlier this week that HBO is planning a film on the 2008 John McCain-Sarah Palin presidential campaign:

But Palin will not be the beneficiary of any revenue nor is she certain to be enamored by the performance. The network has decided to adapt the 2008 campaign book “Game Change” into an original film.

Academy Award nominated Julianne Moore will play the role of Sarah Palin. The book by Time’s Mark Halperin and New York magazine’s John Heilemann does not feature a faltering image of Pain and, if anything, the then governor is reported to be entirely clueless about basic historical and geographical facts, and somewhat erratic.

The book, Game Change, describes the former Governor of Alaska as having wild mood swings caused by her sudden rise to fame and describes her at one point as being in a ‘catatonic stupor’. […] According to the book, it was then that Steve Schmidt, Republican campaign chief, turned to the experts he had recruited and said: ‘You guys have a lot of work to do. She doesn’t know anything.’ (Daily Mail.)

The author presciently added, If the film follows the lines of the book on which its based, Palin and her supporters may soon be feuding with HBO over what will be a critical presentation of the Republican.

In Palin’s first statement about the film it is clear that the former Alaska governor is wary about what portrait HBO may present. Jokingly Palin said, “Well, I am all about job creation, and I guess I could provide some of these gals who pretend like they’re me some job security.” But then added that she’ll watch the film with great reservations: “I’ll just grit my teeth and bear whatever comes what may with that movie.”

Tea Party 2012: Will Michele Bachmann Steal Sarah Palin’s Thunder?

This could be more fun than the cat fights between Alexis and Crystal on “Dynasty” in the 1980’s!

Except Crystal and Alexis were both much smarter and much better dressed…

From the National Journal…

It’s looking increasingly likely that tea party maven and Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., will dive into the 2012 presidential waters.

Among the evidence is a packed schedule for this weekend, including two suspiciously stump-like stops in Florida on Friday and a Sunday appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press, where she’ll be asked about how “the campaign against President Obama’s reelection should be framed,” according to network previews.

Most notable is Bachmann’s involvement in the conservative Club for Growth’s annual winter meeting on Friday, where her name shared a guest list with those of Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour and former Govs. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota and Mitt Romney of Massachusetts—all rumored White House contenders.

But if Bachmann—who started the House Tea Party Caucus—is considering a presidential bid, the elephant in the room is best illustrated by her appearance on Friday before the Palm Beach County chapter of the South Florida Tea Party. After all, in terms of national association, the tea party label is as good as sewn into Sarah Palin’s signature red jacket.

“I hear chatter” about Bachmann’s run, said Tea Party Express Chairwoman Amy Kremer, “just the same as I do with [former Alaska] Governor Palin. They’re both rock stars in the movement; they’re both strong and willing to take on the establishment. That’s why their message resonates and why people are seriously looking at them as candidates.”

But would a dual-darling bid split the tea party vote?

Bristol Palin has book deal – Yahoo! News

Gag me…

Who is going to read this?

I guess the Palin Brand runs deeper than I suspected…

These hillbillies are going to milk it for every bit of cash they can, while they can…

Hasn’t their 15 minutes of fame run way over time?

NEW YORK – It’s official: Bristol Palin has a book deal.

The daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin has signed with William Morrow to publish “Not Afraid of Life,” to come out this summer. Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins, announced Tuesday that the memoir would provide “an inside look at her life.”

“Bristol gives readers an intimate behind-the-scenes look at her life for the first time, from growing up in Alaska to coming of age amid the media and political frenzy surrounding her mother’s political rise; from becoming a single mother while still a teenager to coping as her relationship with her baby’s father crumbled publicly — not once, but twice,” according to Morrow.

Sarah Palin Reality Show Received $1million Tax Credit – Washington DC RNC | Examiner.com

Tonight seems to be Sarah Palin night…

She’s been a busy little Momma Grizzley!

And it’s all starting to come out…

I can’t wait for the new tell all book coming from one of her former closest aides….

I do give her credit for one thing:  She sure knows how to make a buck!

She just doesn’t want to help anyone else get ahead-or survive.

“Sarah Palin’s Alaska”, the reality mini-series staring the former governor and her family, is the beneficiary of a $1.2million state tax credit due to 2008 legislation signed by Palin which allows for film and television productions in the state to write-off 30% of their on location costs, as reported by the Anchorage Daily News. The bill was passed in order to promote production in the state.

The reality series was a moderate ratings success for TLC. The network spent $3.6million filming in the state with Alaska’s numerous forests and snow-peaked mountains serving as the backdrop.

Palin was elected governor in 2006, the first woman and the youngest governor in Alaskan history, and prematurely resigned in 2009 citing her intention to not become a ‘lame-duck’ governor. Since her retirement Palin has made millions in book deals, a Fox News contributor contract, and the 8-part reality show.

According to reports, Palin earned somewhere between $250,000-$1million per episode.

Sarah Palin Has Secret ‘Lou Sarah’ Facebook Account To Praise Other Sarah Palin Facebook Account

I’m not even going to comment….

From Wonkette:

Sarah Palin has apparently created a second Facebook account with her Gmail address so that this fake “Lou Sarah” person can praise the other Sarah Palin on Facebook. The Gmail address is available for anyone to see in this leaked manuscript about Sarah Palin, and the Facebook page for “Lou Sarah” — Sarah Palin’s middle name is “Louise” — is just a bunch of praise and “Likes” for the things Sarah Palin likes and writes on her other Sarah Palin Facebook page. “Lou Sarah” even says “amen” to Facebook posts by Sarah Sarah.

So we’ve been reading this leaked Palin book. Interesting read! But this manuscript doesn’t seem quite ready to be published, despite it being leaked around to the entire Internet. Frank Bailey and his co-authors excerpt a bunch of Sarah Palin’s e-mails, and one page of these excerpts shows Palin’s personal Gmail address. We searched for this address on Facebook, the way millions of people search for people on Facebook every day, and it appears that Palin keeps a second Facebook account. Besides staying in touch with Sarah Palin’s father brother Chuck Heath, what does “Lou Sarah” use Facebook for? Saying “amen” to her own Facebook fan page missives, in the guise of a completely different person. “Lou Sarah” also really “Likes” Bristol Palin’s Dancing With the Stars photos.

Why Sarah Palin Wears Glasses

I hate to tell her, but it’s not working…

A great nugget from the leaked book by a former top aide to Sarah Palin, courtesy of Josh Green: Even though Palin had Lasik surgery to correct her vision, she still wears glasses to “look smarter.”
