Freddie Mercury Snuck Princess Diana Into A Gay Bar Dressed In Drag

More reasons to love both the late Freddie Mercury and the late Princess Diana….

From HuffingtonPost.com:

According to a new book, Queen Legend Freddie Mercury snuck Princess Diana into a notorious gay bar in the late 1980s — and the beloved royal went unnoticed.

In “The Power of Positive Drinking,” comedian Cleo Rocos writes about how she, TV star Kenny Everett and Mercury disguised Princess Diana as a male model so that she could sneak into the Royal Vauxhall Tavern in south London. Dressed in an army jacket, black cap and sunglasses, Diana enjoyed a night out on the town, free of attention.

“When we walked in … we felt she was obviously Princess Diana and would be discovered at any minute. But people just seemed to blank her. She sort of disappeared. But she loved it,” Rocos says, adding that the venue was packed, but the presence of Mercury, Everett and herself helped divert attention from Diana so that she could order drinks at the bar. The group left after about 20 minutes.

“She did look like a beautiful young man,” Rocos explains. “She was always a very fit girl, so they might have thought, ‘There’s a nice young man with pert buttocks.'”

Ann Coulter Calls Princess Diana ‘Anorexic, Bulimic Narcissist’

I think she was confused and referring to herself….

I can’t believe people still put this awful woman on television and the so-called Christians run and buy her books….

Ann Coulter is just a petty, self-centered, opportunistic media whore who’ll say anything to get attention and make money.  I don’t know why anyone but Fox News has her on television.

She’s kind of like Sarah Palin if Sarah only had one black dress and a better vocabulary……

From the Huffington Post:

Ann Coulter has some harsh words for the late Princess Diana.

The conservative commentator raised some eyebrows in a new interview with “The Insider” co-host Kevin Frazier.

“I find it a little baffling when Americans get so gaga-eyed over a princess. In particular Lady Di, who was just this anorexic, bulimic narcissist,” Coulter said.

Coulter, who was promoting her new book “Demonic: How The Liberal Mob Is Endangering America”, has professed contempt for Diana and the Royal Family before.

In April, Coulter appeared on “The O’Reilly Factor” to call the late princess a “nitwit hussy” and said of the Royal Wedding: “It’s totally embarrassing Americans cared about that.”

She also said she was specifically going to be on a plane to France so she wouldn’t have to watch William and Kate’s nuptials.

Coulter did admit on her “Fox News” appearance that she looked up Kate Middleton and said, “She seems like a lovely woman, I feel sorry for the life she’s signed on to.”

Princess Diana was known not just for her royal title, but for being the “People’s Princess.” It was her philanthropy working to raise AIDS awareness and working towards a ban on landmines that won her the respect and admiration of many.

What Princess Diana’s Life Might Look Like Now

Princess Diana’s death was kind of like the Kennedy Assassination for me and my generation.  We were young adults when it happened and most of us remember exactly where we were when we heard.

Steve and I were sitting on the patio of a long-closed restaurant on Tate Street having dinner and cocktails with friends when the waiter interrupted our merriment to tell us the  news.  We all rushed into the bar to see the TV…

Today, I saw this interesting article from Tina Brown in Newsweek on what Diana, Princess of Wales, might have evolved to being had she lived….

It’s fun to speculate.  It would have been much better if she had lived to fascinate us a lot longer…

Diana would have been 50 this month. What would she have been like? Still great-looking: that’s a given. Her mother, Frances Shand Kydd, with her cornflower-blue eyes and striding sexuality, was a handsome woman to the very end. Fashionwise, Diana would have gone the J.Crew and Galliano route à la Michelle Obama, always knowing how to mix the casual with the glam. There is no doubt she would have kept her chin taut with strategic Botox shots and her bare arms buff from the gym. Remarriage? At least two, I suspect, on both sides of the Atlantic. Always so professional herself, she would have soon grown exasperated with Dodi Al-Fayed’s hopeless unreliability. After the breakup I see her moving to her favorite city, New York, spending a few cocooned years safely married to a super-rich hedge-fund guy who could provide her with what she called “all the toys”: the plane, the private island, the security detail. Gliding sleekly into her 40s, her romantic taste would have moved to men of power over boys of play. She’d have tired of the hedge-fund guy and drifted into undercover trysts with someone more exciting—a high-mindedly horny late-night talk-show host, or a globe-trotting French finance wizard destined for the Élysée Palace. I suspect she would have retained a weakness for men in uniform, and a yen for dashing Muslim men. (A two-year fling with a Pakistani general, rumored to have links to the ISI, would have been a particular headache to the Foreign Office and the State Department.) Davos and the Clinton Global Initiative would have become her new post-palace power circles. She would perhaps have caused a press sensation with an unplanned pledge from the CGI stage to raise $50 million to help educate women in South Sudan.
